Hi,
I have just received some labs in the mail. Not my complete list, I'm still waiting for the remainder of the results to come through.
I've posted them on the RTH forum, but I feel I'd get a better response re the hormones here.
I'm still waiting on TSH, FT3, FT4, RT3, Aldosterone, Renin, Vit D3, 24h urinary cortisol, CBC and a few others.
At the time of the test I had fasted all food and medication since 10PM the night before. I'm currently taking 4 1/2gr Armour, 40mg HC, 40mg DHEA, 1mg 5% Testosterone cream, D3, B12 sublingual.
Antithyroid peroxidase antibodies 1 IU/mL (<6)
Antithyroglobulin antibodies 11 H IU/mL (<6)
S Parathyroid Hormone 2.0 pmol/L (1.6-6.9)
S FSH 2.14 IU/L (<10 IU/L)
LH 1.51 IU/L (1.14-8.75 IU/L)
Prolactin 180 mIU/L (0-500)
S Oestradiol 140 pmol/L (50-220)
Progesterone 2.13 nmol/L (0.7-4.3)
S Testosterone 23.8 nmol/L (12.0-31.9)
SHBG 63 H (12-57)
Free Test (VC) 337.39 pmol/L (260-740)
S DHEA Sulphate 8.1 umol/L (2.2-15.2)
S Sodium 145mmol/L (135-145)
S Potassium 4.3 mmol/L (3.5-5.5)
S Chloride 102 mmol/L (95-110)
S Bicarbonate 33 H mmol/L (20-32)S Bilirubin 11 umol/L (4-20)
S Alkaline Phosphatase 82 U/L (35-110)
S Gamma-GT 12 U/L (5-50)
S ALT 18 U/L (5-40)
S AST 19 U/L (10-40)
S Total Protein 83 g/L (66-83)
S Albumin 47 g/L (39-50)
S Globulin 36 g/L (23-39)
S Cholesterol 4.9 mmol/L (3.5-5.5)
S Triglycerides 0.9 mmol/L (0.5-2.0)
S HDL-Cholesterol 1.4 mmol/L (>1.00)
S LDL-Cholesterol 3.1 mmol/L (<3.5)
LDLC/HDLC 2.2 (<4.0)
Chol/HDLC 3.5 (<4.5)
S Iron 28 umol/L (5-30)
S Transferrin 2.7 g/L (2.0-3.2)
Transferrin Saturation 41 % (10-45)
S Ferritin 211 ng/mL (30-500)
Fasting S Glucose 5.1 mmol/L (3.6-6.0)
S Calcium 2.48 mmol/L (2.10-2.60)
The Antithyroglobulin antibodies came back as high. I've read that hyperthyroidism can cause this, could this be because I'm taking too much armour?
My PTH and LH are both in the lower end of the results and I'd presume my FSH is low too. Could this indicate that maybe I've a hypopit. issue?
My cholesterol is healthy and I've very low triglycerides, which I'm glad to hear.
The morning that I had the tests I didn't feel as bad as I normally do, however that afternoon I crashed pretty badly. I also did a 24 hour urinary cortisol test that day and I filled the sample bottle plus some extra, so I'm thinking that even though the sodium and potassium look ok I might come back with incorrect aldosterone/renin labs.
It appears that I'm having some kind of testosterone resistance? My Free test is not optimal yet my SHBG is getting too high. Once again, could it be that I'm taking too much armour?

Although SHBG is not usually ordered to diagnose or monitor these conditions, increases in SHBG are seen with liver disease, hyperthyroidism, anorexia, and estrogen use (hormone replacement therapy and oral contraceptives).
Eagerly awaiting some input!
Cheers,
Josh
