These labs were done via blood test on the 3rd day of my period (which was 2 days ago:
DHEA: 129 ug/dL = (45-270)
Estradiol: 53 pg/mL = Menstruating Female Mid cycle (- 1) 150-528
Progesterone: 0.5 ng/mL = Mid-Luteal (4.4 - 28.0)
TSH: 0.875 uIU/mL = (0.450-4.50)
Trilodothyronine, Free, Serum: 3.6 pg/mL (2.3-4.2)
T4 Free: 1.22 ng/dL (0.61-1.76)
Testosterone serum: 29 ng/dL = (14-76)
Free testosterone (direct): 0.2 pg/mL = (0.0-2.2)
FSH Serum: 7.0 mIU/mL = Midcyle (3.4-33.4)
I have no idea what any of this means though. I am very confused. Just 2 months ago my TSH was 3.28. Now (after only about 4 or 5 days on 1/4 grain of Armour it is only 0.875). Can it go own that fast in only 4 to 5 days on Armour? I am very confused about these results. Everything looks normal. Mia

DHEA may be indicating secondary AI. TSH can do anything it wants. I've seen it go lower than that on 1/4 grain. Free T3 being up on low dose Armour (probably was like that before Armour), suggests you haven't treated your cortisol yet which is a big no no. You may know I don't give my opinion on womens sex hormone tests unless they are menopausal. Normal doesn't mean in the optimal part of the range. Hopefully someone will jump in to give their opinion of your sex hormones.
Note: I've created a thyroid forum. All adrenal hormones including DHEA should be posted in the Adrenal forum.

Thanks Chris. I have not found a doctor yet who believes that I have any adrenal problems based on my test results they said my adrenal glands are fine. So I cannot treat my adrenals until a doctor recognizes that there is something wrong with them. I think HC is only by prescription. So that option is out for me. That is why I went ahead and took the Armour and am using licorice root extract and Himalayan sea salt as well (blood pressure has been fine on these). Also I take GABA CAlm it has L-tyrosine in it as well. I feel MUCH better then I did just one week ago, so something I am doing is working for me, still a little tired but much better now. Mia

I'm glad you are feeling better, but all the while you need to find a doc that treats AI so you can be successful with the Armour. Have you asked around for recommendations. It will help for you to edit your profile for where you live.

Hi There, These labs were done via blood test on the 3rd day of my period (which was 2 days ago) DHEA: 129 ug/dL = (45-270) *TOO LOW 37% in range Testosterone serum: 29 ng/dL = (14-76) *DEFICIENT Free testosterone (direct): 0.2 pg/mL = (0.0-2.2)*TOO LOW 9% in range Estradiol: 53 pg/mL (Menstruating Mid cycle 150-528) *DEFICIENT Progesterone: 0.5 ng/mL = Mid-Luteal (4.4 - 28.0) *DEFICIENT FSH Serum: 7.0 mIU/mL = Midcyle (3.4-33.4) *LOW IN RANGE You tested FSH what about LH? You really should have had DHEAS & SHBG tested too. How can you say everything tested as normal? Estrogen Testosterone & Progesterone are all VERY DEFICIENT. The Free Testosterone range is ridiculous... how can it go down to ZERO? Are they saying having zero is normal? ? In any case your Free Testosterone is way too low. How could not be otherwise really with deficient Total testosterone anyway? The only thing 'in range' is DHEA at 37% and that is far from optimal. Optimal is top 25% in range as it is for Testosterone. With all the above your FSH (& LH) should have been through the roof trying to stimulate more of everything. And its not..... its very low in the range too. So you basically look as you are " running on empty" for everything. Nor does it look like Menopause as FSH & LH normally are very high then. How old are you if you dont mind saying? So the Sex Hormone levels all support pretty severe AI with deficient & imbalanced Endocrine hormones. If it was me I would be on Sex Hormone HRT pronto. You must feel terrible. What symptoms do you have? I would expect a whole host of issues like low libido, lubrication problems, maybe painful intercourse, problems orgasming, vaginal irritation fungal & bacterial issues, lack of motivation, fatigue, no stamina, muscle wasting & weakness, fat redistribution (abdominal area), sleeping issues, inflammation , headache and probably more. I really hope that new OBGYN Doc is on the ball & prepared to help you. With all the above I bet your Cortisol was very low as well. What about Aldosterone & Renin? Likely issues there too. I would vigorously be pursuing Adrenal DX & RX if I was you.

Lethal Lee, I am not sure why but I do not get any emails from this website, telling me if I have a reply to my posts. Therefore the only way that I know that you have replied is if I remember to come to this website and check it, and I do forget a lot to do that. So I just now got your reply from my test results! I only wish I had checked it a few days ago.
As I read your reply to my test results, I began to cry out loud.........I'm still crying.........You are the first person to ACTUALLY PINPOINT ALL OF MY SYMPTOMS TO A TEE, BASED ON MY TEST RESULTS. I FEEL LIKE FINALLY, NOW SOMEONE IS LISTENING TO ME. I AM BASKET CASE, I HAVE ALL OF THE SYMPTOMS THAT YOU MENTIONED AND MORE, I HAVE BEEN SICK LIKE THIS FOR A VERY LONG TIME.....It's been horrific to say the least, but since I don't look sick, nobody seems to believe me. It wasn't until I saw a natural doctor that she suggested that I get my hormones checked a week or two ago. You have shown sympathy to how I feel and that had meant the world to me. YOU ACTUALLY GET IT! AND YOU WERE THE FIRST! WOW, I AM STILL IN TOTAL SHOCK HERE......AND CRYING.......
How do you know this stuff? How can you tell how badly I am hurting, inside and out just based on my hormones, I am still amazed and your knowledge and level of what seems to be just expertise!! You are very good at this stuff! Thank YOU SO MUCH. I only wish I would have known about all of this a long time ago. I have tried to kill myself 3 times recently, was hospitalized, because nobody could figure out why I felt so horrible. No doctor could ever fix me, they never bothered to test my hormones in all of these years that I have been complaining to dozens of doctors about my problems, not a single one offered to test my hormone levels. I have been so desperate, especially the last year, to get fixed or to die trying. I am still crying................But you are exactly right, I am very sick and I feel so bad every single waking moment of every single day that death always looks better to me then staying alive.
I did FINALLY go to a somewhat good doctor today. She is a GYN and a homeopathic (Natural Doctor). She did tell me "some" of what you have said, she said that my testosterone was practically ZERO and that I would need to supplement with testosterone.
I didn't know that, I don't know anything about hormones, so I just assumed that my testosterone was ok. Now I know that it's scarily very low.
She also said the same thing that you said about DHEA, she said it was just "ok" and that is was no where near the optimal range. So she gave me a good, all natural DHEA supplement, she wants me to take it in the morning with my Armour on an empty stomach.
But, she was not saying that all of this could be the main cause of all of my symptoms, she just wasn't as certain as you sound. Basically she said I would feel much better, but she didn't know if it would make me feel 100% better.
What other tests should I get done? I asked her to test my aldosterone and renin but she said that is not necessary, and that it's only good for research purposes.
Do you think any of my other hormones need a boost or just the Testosterone and DHEA?
My God I feel so much relief after reading your message, thank you thank you thank you soooo much.
Mia
