Is Chris in health crisis?

I just read an email from Chris, about a dire crisis, is he having a health crisis?

Unfortunately Chris is not doing well at the present time .

Please do not be alarmed, but keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.

The moderators will keep you posted on his progress.

I have been worried about Chris, he has been gone for such a long time. I so hope he is okay. His email worries me. I am praying for him and his health. Please let us know if we can help in anyway. Sending him cards, emails or any material things he may need. He has helped so many of us and I feel so indebted to him. I really wish I could help. Please keep us informed......I truly care about how he is doing.

Hi Everyone,

On behalf of Chris & his family thankyou for all your concern.
Chris would rather keep the details private.

Be assured we have been in contact & Chris is not in any danger.
However he will be taking an indefinite 'sabbatical'.
We all hope he will be able to return sooner rather than latter but can give no definite timeframe at present.

You will note both Ruth (fractal) & myself have been given Admin status so we can continue managing the Forum site. All the Mods have agreed to continue so Forum is not in any immediate danger of closing.

The moderators will all miss Chris' advice & undoubted expertise (as will all I'm sure). However rest assured all mods will do their best to continue to answer your questions and offer suggestions.
Collectively we have a spread of academic quals, personal research, work experience, & practical experience learned while dealing with our own health issues. We have all benefitted greatly from Chris' stickies & posts along the way.

We will of course update you when/if the situation changes.

I have passed on our collective concern & well wishes to Chris & his family.
