Hello,
I am having severe fatigue problem since last few years. After researchig a lot I have concluded it's my pituitary not producing enough ACTH.
I would like to know : Is there any way to increase production of ACTH by pituitary ?
What are the natural replacement of ACTH ?
Is anyone aware of long term chronic stress and it's affect on HPA axis ?
More later.
Sincerely, Joy.

Hi, I'm interested in the answers to your questions, too. I have, confirmed, low ACTH. I have fatigue; but at the same time, I have insomnia (which is a delightful combination ). imo, you should get your ACTH and AM Cortisol tested, if you haven't already, to see where you're at, exactly. Dee

I'm pretty new and a novice to this, but you do need to get a serum 8:00 a.m. cortisol and ACTH level checked. While you are at it, I would suggest requesting LH, FSH, GH, TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Prolactin, Aldosterone to name a few. The experts here will tell you more I'm sure. But those markers are for pituitary hormones that work with the glands, Adrenal, ovaries, testes, thyroid. If one or more are too high or too low then you have an idea of what is going on. If the ACTH (adrenal) comes back low, you can do an adrenal STIM test too to validate it a bit more.
