Hi Lethal Lee. Glad to see you around.
You are always most helpful.
Although I had time yesterday to see your message and take note of your suggestions for the Gynecologist (a woman), I had no time to answer (but took note of all your suggestions).
I am afraid that I have no good news.
part of it is my fault.
After explaining my symptoms to the Gynecologist, as well as my dx, I showed her my latest blood test, insisting on the anemia...
my husband and me were together, and as he had an app. an hour later with an Urologist, we had his latest blood test with us too....
I mixed both blood test and gave his instead of mine. I just noticed this now (though- of course- too late).
The Gynecologist said that my hemoglobin was not as bad (16) and that the ferritin was not that important... So she said to forget the anemia... I was surprised to hear it, as I thought that my hemoglobin was also low... But I tend to forget things, and figures more... Thought i was wrong and although I insisted on the low ferritin, she refused to give any importance to a low ferritin without a low hemoglobin (I checked it at home and I have it below normal values at 10)...
well, that was wrong, but not su important as I am on iron supp.
From the outcome of our visit, I do not think that giving her my blood test would have made things different...
Regarding the retroverted uterus, she denied it saying that my uterus is not retroverted.
About my menstrual irregularities, pain, hirsutism, etc. high androgens (which she did not even bother to read)... She has suggested the pill (anticonceptive)
It is called Yasminelle 0,02 mg./3 mg. (etinilestradiol & drospirenona)... I have been surfing the net and it is an antagonist to aldosterone
Diuretic and increases potassium...
Asking why she prescribed it, she said to regulate my menstruation... She also prescribed some pills for the menstrual pain and others to prevent the blood clots...
Am I the only one not happy about it?
No option to persuade her for doing some blood tests. She did not even bother to read the whole blood test. Come on, she did not noticed that it was my husband´s!
What a frustration.
Thank you for all the work done getting all my lab test results back here, Lethal Lee and for caring about me.
I thought she would look into the matter more carefully and help with the sexual hormones... But, i do not think that the pill "Yasminelle" would be safe for us having AI... Don´t you think so?
Love,
Tessa
