Do you have to be fasting to get the following tests? Free and Total Testosterone DHEA Sulfate Progesterone Estradiol TSH Free T3 Free T4 IGF-1 PSH Actually Testosterone & DHEAS must be done fasting early ~8am. Igf-1 should be tested with GH also early am. I always have my Thyroid tests done early am fasting too. If on Thyroid meds should be 12-18 hours since last dose. Actually I usually leave ALL supps & meds until after testing too. It would be helpful to include SHBG, LH & FSH with your Androgens & Sex Hormones. What is PSH? Do you mean PTH? If testing Parathyroid Hormone should also test Vit D, corrected calcium, ALP & phosphorus at same time. It is important to test the same time same way (fasting, wait until test before meds & supps) each time so you are consistent & makes comparisons more valid. I even go sofar as to use the same Path Lab everytime so Ref Ranges & methods are the same.
