So, I am trying a new doctor. He's at least read all the same books I have, so that's better than most! He's a DO and is something of a natural/allopath combined. He's willing to let me do what I want naturally, with no meds, which is a miracle in itself! (I feel that you don't have a headache because you have a Tylenol deficiency! I know meds have their place and if I really need them I'll take them, but for now I want to try the natural approach.) For now he's added progesterone to my meds. We are going to see if that improves my migraines and other seemingly 'progesterone deficient' symptoms.
So I'm definitely tapering down the T3. (Labs are below.) I am taking 50 mcgs at the moment. Starting tomorrow it will be 37.5. :-) What's weird is I'm not overly hyper! My heart isn't beating any faster than normal (averages around 88-92), although maybe a bit harder, and I have a tiny tremor, but even the doc didn't think anything of it! The last 2 days I have felt more anxiety, but I've had a bad week. (My daughter was in the hosptial for 3 nights with pneumonia, and while there hubby's car got stolen from the hospital parking lot. So, unusually high stress.)
He also did a gluten test, but I guess it didn't come back yet. We'll see how that goes. I've noticed that I feel better without gluten - I was testing going without. Pimples go away and I just feel better overall. I'm convinced!
Anyway, I know this isn't a lot of labs, but I'd like to know what you all think!
Dr. H 3/11/2009 (All tests are via blood)
Sodium = 139 (131-145 meq/L)
Potassium = 4 (3.5-5.3 meq/L)
Chloride = 107 (98-110 meq/L)
CO2 = 25 (22-31 meq/L)
BUN = 17 (17 mq/dL)
Creatinine = 0.53 (0.58-1.06 mq/dL) Low
Glucose, Fasting = 91 (65-99 mq/dL)
Calcium = 10 (8.6-10.2 mq/dL)
eGFR Rate = >59 (>59)
Reverse T3 = 23 (11-32 ng/dL)
T3, Free = 761 (230-420 pg/dL) Just a bit high! Geesh!
T3/RT3 ratio = 33
ANA = negative
CPK, Total = 28 (29-143 IU/L) Low
GGTP = 15 (3-50 mg/dL)
Magnesium = 1.9 (1.5-2.5 mg/dL)
Uric Acid = 4.8 (2.5-7 mg/dL)
Cortisol, AM = 13.2 (4-22 mcg/dL) This seems a bit low, but I don't know the blood values!
Cortisol, PM (4pm) = 6.2 (3-17 mcg/dL)
Previous labs are at forums.realthyroidhelp.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10128
Also, I'm having a weird, somewhat new thing happening. The underneath part of my forearms are extremely dry. This happened once before about a month ago. Too much T3? Some other deficiency? Just curious.
Thank you!
Gina
