I am having major brain fart. There is a type of PS that is soy free. For the life of me, I can't remember. It's spelled like this Sepherios. www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ps/PS is expensive, BTW Laurie

HI Rainbow, Seriphos is phosphlorated Serine that is it contains Phosphorus. Each tab has 45mg Caclcium, 45mg Mag + 190mg Phosphorus. Not sure how I feel about that. too much Phosphorus is not good for us. Seriphos is a product made by Interplexus they have a data sheet www.interplexus.com/pdfs/phos_serine_data.pdfThe cheapest price US$17.22 I found is here www.vitaminlife.com/product-exec/product_id/37510/nm/SERIPHOSBut quite frankly with your Cortisol levels I woud NOT be taking this product at all. You risk lowering Cortisol a lot somewhere between 30-70% I've seen mentioned. Your Cortisol levels are a bit elevated only & at night. However during the DAY are far too low. The Cortisol at night is only high because of the daytime shortfall. Likely that once you go on a good dose of HC (ninimum 25mg) properly spread over the day that the night time levels will come down.

Well dang. I finally got a call back from my doctor today, and Seriphos is exactly what she wants me to take. I didn't bring it up at all - she did. And she said I should take 200mg of PS every night, which would be 2 capsules.
She doesn't think that my saliva results are "bad enough" to warrant HC. I'll be trying to get a second opinion though...cause I'm not so sure about that.

If your doc won't order necessary labs, find another doc. You can also order these labs independently. Econolabs has best price for aldo/renin. Compare between econolabs and healthcheck for best price for ACTH,cortisol and DHEA-S. If you don't see something listed with healthcheck website, call them M-F between 9-5 CST. Use discount code 12345 for 10% discount. Both contract with labcorp. YOU will receive the results.
IMHO, I would not use PS until you have all of necessary tests done. Laurie

What would these tests show me that the saliva test has not already shown?

Low range ACTH, low cortisol and low DHEA-S is commonly associated with secondary adrenal insufficiency.
High ACTH, low cortisol and high DHEA-S is commonly associated with primary adrenal insufficiency.
Having these tests will help to give you/us/your doc a better idea of what is going on. Whether your low cortisol is "adrenal fatigue" or insufficiency.
