First post here, so hello everyone! I'm 20 year old, been diagnosed with M.E. since around twelve. I am exhausted, low body temperature, freezing hands and feet, can't think properly, my blood pressure is usually low but it does go up when I stand. I had adrenal results taken on 24/07/2007 by NPtech 8am (38.3) Range 12 to 33 12am (19) Range 10 to 28 4pm (13) Range 6 to 11.8 Midnight (5) Range 1 to 5 I re-done the adrenal test with IWDL three months ago (hope you can see the picture of the results I have posted) Three days ago I started cortef at 2.5mg, how quickly can I up the dose? I was thinking of adding 2.5mg every 4 days till I was at 15-20mg. I have been taking the 2.5mg at 8am, then going back to sleep till around 10am. Should I be waiting till I am up at 10am? I am also taking b50 complex 3x per day (one at each meal), vitamin C 4000mg, D-ribose 15g, L-carnitine 3g, Coq10 200mg, Vitamin E 400iu Any advice? I heard sea salt is also good for the adrenals, if so how much should I take? Thanks in advance!

It looks like you were in the begining stages and a year later reached the later stages of adrenal collapse. You do need to get blood tests including ACTH stim, ACTH, DHEA-S, Aldosterone and renin before you start on steroid. I'm afraid I don't give advice about steroid use until proper testing has been done. If you have these tests, I'll look at them.
Usually sea salt is needed, but you need to be off it for a day including foods with significant sodium before testing aldosterone and renin.
