Hello! I'm not sure which area to post this under but i was wonder if someone could help me. I am not very familiar with the pituitary gland. I'm wonder if maybe I have problems with mine. If you could check out my info below and let me know if you have any thoughts or advice.... maybe tests I should have my doctor run? I would greatly appreciate it!!!
I'll try to make a long story short...I was diagnosed with Graves
disease at 19 years old, followed by 4 times of Radioactive Iodine
treatment, on Synthroid until approx. 28 years old, then on Armour Thyroid to date 8grains 480mg a day. I am 42 years old. I have always felt terrible but I just seemed to make it my "normal" and lived with it. Severe muscle pain, daily headaches, no energy, always been overweight......many other things. Recently I got so ill that I could barely get
out of bed. My energy was wiped out! Just getting up to get a drink left me exhausted. Almost flu like symptoms. I went to the doctor (which I do at least yearly to get labs). Here are the results:labs taken 2/10/09:
C-Reactive Protein 7.20 (high)
white count 11.8 (4.0-11.0)
Neutrophil Absolute 8.7 (1.8-7.6)
VitaminD 19 (30-100)
cortisol:3.3 (4.3-22.4)
dhea-s:42 (32-240)
ReverseT3:651 (90-350)
T3free:6.5(2. 5-3.9)
T4free:1.9 (.7-1.7)
TSH: <0.10 (.50-5.00)
once labs above indicated that my body was not converting my thyroid medicine correctly my doctor ran the following labs...
my labs taken 2/16/09:
cortisol:7.5 (4.3-22.4)
Ferritin 100 (10-291)
Tiss Transglutaminase Antibody 138 (0-19)
Endomysial IgA Titer 1:80 (<1:10)
He informed me yesterday that I am celiac disease positive.
Is there anyone who can help with thes labs? Or anyone who has
experience Thyroid and Celiacs disease? Should I have my pituitary checked? I would appreciate any help.
Thank you!!
