Hi, I'm just going round in circles trying to find what to do next!
I had my salt and potassium test just before xmas, as fiollows;: Sodium 141 (135-145)
Potassium 4.4 (3.5-4.5)
I know they don't look too bad, but UI have all the symptoms of low aldosterone, ie: sweating heat intolerant, light sensitivity, headaches, failed flashlight test, salt craving etc.
Unfortunately, I have started to get bad headaches almost daily now and it seems to have started when I started salt supping, because I stopped salt supping and they went away!!
I am on 25mg HC. 55 T3
I am totaly confused, can you helkp at all? Thanks in advance Jenny.

Hi Jenny,
I dont know that I can help but I have been having ongoing problems with sodium, I have had levels ranging from 122 to 142, I have found that I get symptoms when it goes below 135, which is the lowest of normal range. I was assured that as long as levels were over 130 then you shouldn't get severe syptoms. I haven't craved salt even at 122(this result was overlooked for 6 weeks)so it is weird!
I get migraines too and last week the whole week I had the worst headache and was in bed most of the week, I tried eating food with a high count of sodium and it really helped the headache.
My pottasium doesn't seem to be affected by the sodium, it is randomly high and low also...I am sure that others will be along to answer with alot more help and advice than I can...hope you get it sorted soon.
Chloe

Hi Chloe, Thanks for replying, but I think I may have an answer to my own problem! I am not tolerating the salt at all and it is giving me daily diarreah, therefore it is making me even more dehydrated, which in turn is giving me migraines!!
Could I be right?
Jenny.
