Has anyone tried probiotics for digestion problems? Was it of any help? Did anything else help? I am sick of being sick. For months and months now all I do is deal with a sick stomach and low energy. I have lost all interest in things. I only accomplish my basic necessities.
What could estrogen or progesterone cream do for me? I am far post meno, at an early age cuz of this no good pituitary, this no good thyroid and my no good adrenals.
I want my life back. Really turning into a zombie.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Also, if you know any good questions for my next Endo appt, please let me know. So far my list is - should I be tested for dairy allergy - should I be tested for gluten allergy - are you testing my FreeT3 & FreeT4 - is hydrocort causing my problems - is synthroid causing my problems
Are these the questions I should be asking?
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Would you expand your digestion issues a bit more. Have you tried going totally gluten free to see how your digestion issues respond?
What meds/hormones are you taking and amounts? Please include any labs you may have had in the recent past with reference ranges. Why are you hypopit? Autoimmune, injury, radiation, surgery?
Sounds like you need some comprehensive testing. Endos are not known to keep people properly treated.
If you are hypopit, TSH is useless. Free T4 Free T3... if doc refuses to test, then you need to FIRE THEM ON THE SPOT!! LH/FSH with individual sex hormones IGF-1 with Growth Hormone Vitamin B12 Vitamin D Fasting Glucose Ferritin
Does dairy bother you?

Laurie, thank you for your response.
I have diarrhea and a sick stomach every morning. Last summer had a 3 month stomach ache, saw a GI, had the lab work & no problem found. Not long ago I was taking immodium ad every night before bed & things eventually got a little better. Yesterday I had to remind myself of this & so I began the immodium again.
I have not gone totally gluten free, just now learning about that. (No wheat, rye...)
I take 20 mg of hydrocort & 50 mcg of synthroid. I had a pit tumor for many years. It's gone now but my pit stalk is shrunken. So is my uterus.
I take no hormones which is probably rediculous. I'm in my 40s & recently realized that I went through menopause in my 20s.
I think the endo may have been just testing the tsh. (I have heard before that this is useless.) They have me skip the hydrocort for two days before blood work. Don't have labs available. When I get my next results I would like your input.
For some reason I suspect it's the synthroid making me sick. Heard many people complain about this drug.
Thank you for your thoughts on this.

The docs are idiots. Testing cortisol while taking HC is pointless. Furthermore, you DO NOT stop HC/steroids cold turkey. You have to slowly wean by no more than 2.5mg/week to stop. It takes a minimum of 2 weeks for HPA axis to reset....should you want to test cortisol and ACTH. Do you stress dose your HC with illness/stress?
Did you have morning ACTH, cortisol and DHEA-S levels tested prior to HC?
The stomach ache... is it before you take your synthroid or after? Do you take your HC with food?
Gluten would include anything with wheat, rye, barley and oats. It is in most processed foods.
Do you have issues with hypoglycemia too?
The diarrhea may be gluten related, not enough cortisol (low cortisol sx may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, low glucose, dizziness, shaking, poor tolerance to stress),lactose intolerance(synthroid contains lactose), thyroid hormone imbalance.
You are welcome, Laurie

I have not really needed to stress dose, haven't had the flu. But a few months ago I did increase HC from 10 mg, to 15mg, and then to 20 mg a day. Read that 10 mg was way too low dose.
All of the initial testing was done prior to starting HC, and synthroid. Cortisol was super low.
The sick stomach is before I take the synthroid. First thing in the morning. I take HC with milk or food.
If hypoglycemia is low blood sugar, I've often thought it could be.
So basically if I determine if I am gluten intolerant, lactose intolerant or need more cortisol --- I could finally fix this problem?!
Do you hear many people complain about synthroid? I used to ignore it but perhaps they have a point?
Thank you so much.

Laurie, another question & then I'll leave you alone for a while!
Probiotics - My back Dr said it might help, do you have an opinion?
Estrogen Cream - Does it make people feel better? Esp being post meno.
Thanks again.

Probiotics can only help. Do you homework and buy a good quality. Store in fridge. IF you happen to take antibiotics, you need to space the probiotics and antibiotics minimum 2hours. This way, the antibiotics will be most effective and yet you have benefit of probiotic. IMHO, Hospitals should be passing probiotics out like candy to reduce incidence of C.Difficile infections. Folks are either old, immunocompromised and/or on antibiotics. It's so simple, it's stupid!!
Have you had sex hormones tested? Are you speaking of local vaginal estrogen cream?
