Hi!
I recently posted my test results and symptoms on the above forum and someone suggested I might have hypopituitary. I had never heard of this until reading it on the forum. I was hoping you might be able to shed a little light onto the subject for me. If you don't mind I would like to post my test results and health problems to get your feedback. After reading through some of the other messages I see there is some other tests results you would like that I did not post on the other forum. They will be a few years old but it shouldn't change the diagnosis since the symptoms have not changed. So here they are:
T4 SerPl QN 6.0dL (5.0-12.0)
T Uptake SerPl QN 40 (32-48)
FTI 6.0 (5.9-13.1)
TSH 3rd Gen SerPl QN 1.273 (0.400 - 2.400)
(this is my most recent thryoid test)
I also had a ACTH Stimulation test done. Here are those results
Cortisol Baseline 9.5 dL
Cortisol 30 min. 22.5 dL
Cortisol 60 min. 27.4 dL
Sodium 139 (134-145)
Potassium 4.1 (3.6-5.5)
Chloride 105 (98-107)
CO2 27 (22-31)
Bun 9 (7-17)
Creatinine 0.6 (0.7-1.2)
Calcium 8.7 (8.4-10.2)
Insulin 5.7 (6.0-27.0)
FSH 4.0
Luteinizing Hormone 4.5
Here are some results from some Great Smokies tests I had done:
DHEA - s 128.6 (23-124)
Estrone 68.7 (4.7 - 27)
Estradiol 253 (20-40)
Testosterone .56 (.10-.51)
In a stool test it said I was high in candida. In need of folic acid, b12 and zinc. It also stated I was nitrogen insufficient and had impaired xenobiotic detoxication. Another stool test said I was very low in Chymotrypsin.
I hate to make this so long but I wanted to be thorough:
Here are the symptoms:
I am 45 year old female who has been tired most of her life
I have had problems with anxiety from an early age on. I take Klonopin to try to control it along with deep breathing. I cannot tolerate ssri drugs. I am supposedly missing the 2D6 enzyme.
I am have had 5 miscarriages and one pregnancy which had many problems.
I was diagnosed with PCOS by two doctors even though I am 5'4" and weigh 115 lbs. with a full head of hair.
I cannot tolerate sweets or alcohol with out feeling awful
I am always cold and my blood pressure is always in the 90/60 range.
I have had a stage 1 melanoma
I have recently been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis but the rheumatologist says I am very atypical.
A couple of years ago I consulted with Dr. Shames to see if I had a thyroid problem. He thought I had a low thyroid and put me on something. (I can't remember what it was now) But it sent me thru the roof within a couple of days!
I would love some input!! Thank you so much for taking the time to hear me out!
