Hi there,
I am currently on 3 grains of thyroid (Canada's version of Armour) and 20mg of HC. I have been on HC for about 8 weeks. I have been raising the thyroid by 1/2 grain every week - 10 days. I have not experienced any problems to date. Since going from 2 1/2 to 3 grains, my symptoms improved immediately. Nausea is my most predominant symptom as well as joint pain. I have read that I should now hold at 3 grains for about 6 weeks; however, for about the first 8 days on 3 grains, I felt GREAT (still a bit of nausea in the morning, but only for about an hour and still some joint pain, but alot less). However, the past 2 days, my nausea has crept back a bit - nothing like it was before, but tends to last throughout the day again. Should I increase my meds to 3 1/4 grains or still hold for 6 weeks. Do you only hold if your symptoms have disappeared? It seems to hold for 6 weeks when symptoms are getting worse is counterproductive?
Any advice is greatly appreciated!!!! I really enjoyed my 8 days of feeling almost "normal" again, so I want to continue that!!
Thanks so much,
Kelly

Are you stress dosing your HC when you increase? Usually stress dosing for two days with increase will insure your adrenals tolerating the increase.
It can take 6-8weeks for the T4 component in Armour to fully stabilize in your system. If you increase to much too often at this point, you will likely overshoot your sweet spot.
I can't help but wonder if some of your nausea is low cortisol? Are you taking your cortisol with food. Typically, what are your low cortisol symptoms?
How is your B12, ferritin, Vitamin D?
You are welcome, Laurie
