Hi, I am having some major sleeping issues which I think are related to low cortisol. Will the Melotonin, even a small dose, cause me to have lower symptoms of cortisol or possibly a crash?
Thanks

In low dose may lower cortisol a bit, in doses of 1 mg and higher, can be more noticable, but from what I'm experianced and others report, 1 mg doesn't seem to lower cortisol enought to matter. I've never heard of anyone crashing even in using up to 3 mg. I say use just the amount it takes to help you sleep. Start with half mg the first week. Some people take that long to benefit. If after a week, you feel you need to increase, raise another 1/2 mg, but cap at 3 mg. Melantonin does suppress natural production of melatonin, so it is good to take it just 3 to 4 times a week. Must taper slowly when wanting to get off it.
You're welcome, Chris
