My IGF-1 test came back 260 (100-300). My doc said taking HC may raise it further. Does this indicate adequate growth hormone? Or is it unrelated?

I still use the old range that most labs used until about 3 years ago of 150-350. Your's looks low, BUT is not always a good predictor of what GH is doing. Your GH could be very low, ok, or very high. YOu won't know until you test it. Igf-1 is what GH converted to in the liver and is similar in structure to insulin. Igf-1 is a liver hormone.
