So I got in with a wellness clinic that is operated by an osteopath who practices holistic medicine. I am nervous because I found him on the internet (through STTM somehow) but I think he fits with what I need. I think I have it figured out what I need to ask regarding adrenals but I am not sure about hypopituitary. I had a serious infection after my son was born that they never figured out what it was and it's listed as possible endometritis in my medical records. I was in the hospital once and treated as an out patient the second time. I have read that infections can cause damage to the pituitary gland and am wondering if that is possible with the infection that I had. I just don't want to sound like a dork on my first visit. I guess I was thinking that infection along with the partially empty sella was maybe all my pituitary could handle. I will still ask for thyroid testing because I know that Chris you thought my TPO was high enough to indicate early Hashi's. Just want to check about stuff that should be addressed for hypopituitary. Any advice would be great! Thanks!

HI There
Here is what you need to confirm whether or not Hypopit with Secondary AI or just Primary AI (unlikely). At the moment you only have low am blood Cortisol confirmed no Saliva Cortisol & no Serum ACTH.
Of course spell out your symptoms & history which is why you want it investigated. Also show him ACTH Stim result & tell him you need Serum ACTH to correctly interpret the Stim. Make sure he is aware of the empty stella.
TPO Abs worth retesting TG Abs (you said only TPOAbs were tested) Aldosterone, Renin, Potassium, Sodium (at same time) Saliva 4 x Cortisol Serum ACTH & 8am Cortisol Androgens (Total & Free Testosterone, DHEAS, SHBG) Sex Hormones (Estradiol, Progesterone, FSH, LH) GH & IGF-1
Good luck with the new Doc.

Just thought I would let you know that as of now the new doctor that I am seeing thinks I have a candidiasis infection. He is waiting for tests to come back on that before he tests anything else. Interestingly enough he links it back to the infection I had after my son was born and all the antibiotics I was on. I knew that infection screwed up something. I am just glad he didn't try and convince me I needed a different anti depressant. We did discuss all of the above labwork and he said we will dive into it if needed. I will wait to see how things progress before I give his name to you and RTH as a good doc :-)
