Hi Chris, and everyone else from RTH. Don't know if you remember me or not. I'll post a link to an RTH topic if you need a reminder. Well I have just been diagnosed recently with a 4 mm pituitary adenoma. The three different doctors I am still seeing still can't agree wether or not I have Hashi's. I don't have my test result with me now, but I can post them on Monday. Anyway, I've read through all the stickies, but still have a few questions.
1. At this point would it be worth it to go to a neurologist? Would they be able to help me better than an endocrinologist? I have called all seven osteopaths here in Chattanooga, and all have said they don't know much about pituitary adenomas. I'm afraid in a small city there isn't much to choose from. That leads me to my second question...
2. Do you or anyone else know of any good doctors either in Chattanooga, Nashville, Knoxville, or even Atlanta GA?
3. I am already on HC and Armour and am not yet optimized. I was at 40 mg of HC the latest doctor freaked out and told me not to take more than twenty mg. So I have cut back to thirty and can really tell a difference. Is there anything else that can help with the apathy and the mood swings? And anything else that will help with the energy level? I take alot of the vitamins reccommended by both my doctors and RTH and stop the thyroid madness, I take iron and get b-12 shots. Saltwater etc...not sure what else to do. I have heard that DLPA can work, and that d-ribose works, do you have any experience with those?
Again I will post lab results for your opinion on Monday when I can retrieve them from work. After 2 years I finally have a diagnosis. At least I finally got one.
Thanks for your time.
Tanya
