Woah, nice board Chris Ok here goes my first post on here. I am postmenopausal you will probably remember. My breathlessness was beginning to abate a bit on my latest Armour raise (4 days ago to 2 1/2) I am on 25mg HC and it helps a great deal, I have never managed to get up this high on Armour before so thats ok. My question is. I have started bleeding again, like a period, and I am feeling terribly breathless again. It used to happen before during PMS the night before my period I would get terribly breathless. I understand both female hormone drop at that time? As I went into the menopause my breathlessness and hypothyroidism got much worse, I also developed excessive fatigue and inability to move my diaphram efficiently. I understand the the diaphram thing is hypo, but now I am just getting breathlessness without that problem now that I have started bleeding which is opposite to what used to happen before I was menopausal because once I started bleeding I used to be able to breath again. Has anyone anywhere any experience of which hormone is deficient, or dominant, or both when asthma like symptoms kick off? I want my female hormones tested but I never know when I am going to bleed and when I am going to get worse in order to book an appointment to syncransie it with the time I need it. It would be much simpler if someone had information about this phenomena. I anticipate your help with thank God bless Dawnx

If were me I'd try raising to 30 mg to see if that would take care of the breathlessness. The first part of the cycle, progesterone is lowest. Cortisol comes from progesterone, so that can go low at that time. Your cortisol is likely not fully suppressed, so the remaining cortisol made naturally in your body could be going down in the beginning of your cycle. Another thing that has probably happened, is the the Armour raise. The extra T3 is eating up more of the HC. So again, I'd try raising the HC to 30 mg.
Thanks and you're welcome, Chris

Thanks Chris for the explaination, I will give it a try. Whichever hormone is responsible also gives cramps in the lower back, hip pain, so I will know on taking extra HC if that goes suddenly.
lotsa luv Dawnx
