Hi Deb,
So sorry to hear that about your Sons fiancee now bride. He lets her get away with treating you this way??? I am glad you got to see your Son get married whatever the circumstances. Maybe now that they are married she will be able to calm down some.
We all have to accept our childrens choices & let them make their own mistakes. We might not like their choices...my Mother didnt like many of mine. Including my Husband (been married 21 years now). I had to rescue my DD from an abusive relationship & she came back home for 9 months until she was over it & confidant of being on her own. She has a very nice boyfriend now thank goodness.
I have been taking all meds w/food at all times. If I need something quick I always have hard boiled eggs and cheese on hand ready to go.
Thats good.
Last period was Mar 15 Achey boobs and cramping 3-4 days before. Then started happening again Mar 27 till now. I've been wondering about sex hormones, but put on back burner assuming that Thyroid optimised might take care of some of it. As long as it doesn't get too horrible for the time being.
That does sound like some PMS. Probably some Estrogen dominance. Likely Progesterone would help. Revisit this as you say a bit later when Thyroid & Florinef a bit more sorted.
I don't know why I didn't think to stress dose. The wedding was Wed and its now Sat and I still didn't sleep well last night. Waking at 3:30 AM again. Up to p, got a drink of milk (felt hungry) and back to bed. Did manage to go back to sleep tho til 8.
Well its not too late to stress dose now. Likely you used up your "reserves" & have been running low. Why not try the double dosing of HC for a day or two & see if you can resolve some symptoms & get back on track.
I'm impatiently waiting for blood draw Apr. 8 See where I'm at.
My B/P's and temps are always at least 30 min away from anything. I'm wondering if the adrenaline is causing the B/P's to be all over the place? And why so much Adrenaline? The waking in the night (early AM ) is like a jolt. This AM it stayed til I got up and took ativan with my meds and salt. Don't feel bad now.
121/82-81 and 117/87-99 Temp 98.9
Your financial situation, hubbys work situation, your Son, your health, all the changes/adjusting meds... all can be contributing. Its not that long ago that you felt so bad you attended ER a couple of times too. I think you are doing VERY well in the circumstances. Yes Adrenaline WILL affect HR & BPs.
Between everything being off and the stressful times I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. I try not to take the Ativan, but can't get away from it. Some times I need 2 to get thru the day.
I wasn't so achey all over this AM , so maybe I'm on an upswing again. Fingers crossed!
Mine too!!!
I forgot that the Vit D test was taken before I dropped any of the Vit D, and have now since gone back up to 5000 Daily.
Thats good.
So will I need to up my Magnesium to go along with more Potassium? Looked good last checked.
I have been researching Potassium & Magnesium quite a bit. Both very important at the cellular as well as the Serum level. Good blood levels dont necessarily mean good cellular levels. The Red Blood Cell Potassium & Magnesium apparently is a bit more reliable than just plain serum levels. But more difficult to find Labs to do RBC Minerals & of course are more expensive.
You can take it as read with being HypoT & AI that cellular levels are likely low. In fact seems modern diets & poor soils means most are suboptimal.
Potassium, Sodium, Magnesium & Calcium are all related.
Too much Calcium will push Mag down. Most are too high in Calcium especially as we age (contrary to "conventional" wisdom).
What most need is MORE Mag to allow Calcium to do its correct job (building bone) & remove buildup in arteries, joints, brain etc.
Low cellular Magnesium affects heart & BP too. Its also difficult to optimise Potassium if Mag is suboptimal too. And its difficult to balance & optimise Sodium without good Potassium levels.
Don't have a set appt with Dr for anytime soon, so will have a hard time getting test results for S&P. But will post as soon as I can with them. In the mean time will just hang on.
I still think you need some more Potassium. Some more Mag would probably help some too. Just be careful to avoid diarrhea as that depletes electrolytes. Remember that the amount of actual elemental Mag & Pot are much lower than the amount of the supp you are taking. The 1500mg Potassium Chloride tab was only ~780mg Potassium for example. Trouble is a lot of supps dont tell you the actual elemental amount of the mineral in them.
I'm increasing both my Mag & Pot at the moment. I was unable to tolerate any Mag for many years. Only past 3 months have found a product I could tolerate. Low Mag was probably the reason my Potassium went deficient in the first place!
