lol, Dana. I was going to say that on my tomb stone I want it to say, "See, I told you it was serious." You know, he's been my doctor for a long time, and he has helped me a great deal in other areas; but in this area (of hormonal issues), there is a problem. But, I do know exactly what you're saying. I might just go see another doctor to feel out their knowledge on pituitary (sort of an interview to see whether they can help me). The naturopathic doctor I've been seeing at least understands the seriousness of my health issues. But, she can't order tests. Thanks for your response.

haha! I'm pretty harsh on doctors these days. They really have no idea what they are doing for the most part. If he was able to help you in other ways, then perhaps its worth just keeping the line open. Don't burn bridges as they say.
I definitely wouldn't involve him or count on him for your hormonal issues/treatment if that's possible. I hope this specialist will be more helpful and knowledgeable!

I'm feeling the same way about doctors these days. I had no idea how difficult it would be until things started getting more complex with my health problems (especially concerning hormones).
He does have some good points - like, he prescribes desiccated thyroid; and he is open-minded about how I'm treating the Hashimoto's (although he isn't necessarily on the same page). And, there aren't many doctors in the area...
I'm pretty sure that once my doctor knows what's wrong with me (through the specialist... who will hopefully recognize what's wrong with me, that is), then he'll be back on the same page with me. Wow, the doctor situation can be just as stressful as our health issues!
