Hi Lee, thanks for looking at this.I'll try and answer your questions.
What time was each test done?
Both tests were done around 9.00am-earliest appointment I can get.In oct was on 2 tabs florinef because I was having lots of low sodium symptoms as on all medrol. On my test prior to oct around april 08 I still had sodium level 142 on 1 1/2 tabs florinef.
Did you test fasting?
In october I had a couple of mouthfuls of porridge before the test-also took medrol and t3 only.
This time had absolutely nothing before the test, no meds or food.
Pior to each test when was last Salt, Florinef, Potassium dose?
for both tests last florinef 4.00pm, last salt and potassium 9.30 pm the previous day.
what is Lab Range?
potassium lab range 3.6-5.0
A comment on the bottom of the labs said "slightly elevated potassium level might be due to red cell leakage in transit"
What they are saying is that your sample may have been 'damaged" when transported to the Lab. In which case they should offer you a free retest!!!!!
If the sample was damaged it could have been damaged in the post-I have to have the blood taken at a hospital and then post it away in the mail to the lab so they may not have damaged it.It's the only way I can get it done here.It is in a pretty secure box though.
One last question do you supp Magnesium & if so when did you start, what type, how much? If you can post link to brand & product so I can take close look all the better.
I've been taking 600mg magnesium citrate (plus 124mg in a multi mineral).Been taking the magnesium for around the last two years I think. www.nutricentre.com/p-25617-solgar-magnesium-citrate-200mg.aspx
I get most of my supps from this place as I get 25% Discount on all products and they sell all the uk leading brands of supps.
Similarly please detail what type os Salt, & OTC Potassium you have been taking.
I take potassium chloride powder due it being cheaper than loads of 99mg tabs and probably better absorbed.I ran out of this once and tried taking tablets and got awful chest pain.

salt I take this one

You also mentioned you intended testing Ferritin as well? Any result for that??
Yes ferritin came back low-27.3-currently trying to find a good iron suppl. I can get from the uk.
The highest strength iron tablet in the uk I can find so far is this
www.gvtc.co.uk/vega/ironbis.html
What do you think?
I do wonder whether the potassium result was incorrect but maybe not due to the low sodium episode I had a few weeks ago and have been feeling quite weak lately and had awful depression last week which I think could be the imbalance?
Thanks Lee.
