Well, my endo appointment is in 4 weeks but my GP is going to talk to her and go a head and get the tests ordered reviewed and more ordered so that when I see her all the lab work that she wants is done and we aren't just twiddling our thumbs in the meantime. At least he has figured out that wiating isn't going to fix squat.
The oesteopath is going to check vitD, Calcium and PTH in a month when the vitamin defficiencies are checked. As far as getting him on board for treating cortisol, I mentioned it and he said that I didn't seem like I had low cortisol becuase I could function, get out of bed etc. He is on board for treating thyroid, all though he is only testing my TSH next time so I am not sure how well it will go. He started me on 15 mg of armour. I am worried about increasing it without making sure that my cortisol is o.kay I suppose I will argue about that when/if he decides to raise it. After the next lab check he siad he would do a month long saliva hormone test but wanted the supplements in my system and working. He said those only could resolve a lot of symptoms and correct a lot of hormone issues so he wanted to wait. I like the fact that he is really working from the begining with vitamin and mineral stuff as well as making sure that my stomache and intestines are working properly (he has me on digestive enzymes and stomach acids, based on the delayed gastric emptying that was found he thinks that is part of my problem). I am frustrated that I can't just get the stupid hormones checked right away but it also makes sense that vitamin and mineral defficiencies could cause stuff to be out of wack and I would rather be taking supplements than hormone replacements if I really didn't need them. Right now he is focused on the nutritional aspect of it all as well as ruling out allergies, although I can't get into the allergist until May so who knows!
As far as the hair goes, the hair on my lower legs thinned out and pretty much stopped growing when I was pregnant (figured it had something to do with everything in my body focusing on growing a baby instead of leg hair but know I wonder?). It started back a little more after my son was born but I haven't noticed any difference lately, underarm hair I can't comment on, I shave that almost every day so I would have no idea if that changed or not.
So for now I suppose I will wait to see what test the endo orders and hope and pray the supplements will make a difference. I am anxiously waiting for my period to see how that goes this month. The past two months my boobs have been so sore and hard as a rock, about a week ago the just stopped hurting and wen back to their post breastfeeding saggy selfs (isn't being a woman great!) so I am not sure what that means but it is nice to be able to sleep on my stomach.
A couple of questions regarding some recent things that are bothering me. I have been getting major low blood sugar symptoms, even when I eat protien for breakfast. Aslo lots of light headedness when I stand up even though I have been checking my blood pressure and it doesn't seem any different (it's always been low, Low 100's over 70's). Also, everytime I wake up i feel like my arm or hand is asleep, I am usually laying on part of it under my pillow but I always sleep like that and don't remember having a consitant problem iwth it falling alseep like that. Any ideas?
Thanks
